The Home Energy Saving Scheme brings some good news in these troubled times because the government has put €150 million aside to help you shoulder some of the cost of home improvements. The Home Energy Saving Scheme, on the back of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) is designed to help homeowners cut energy costs and improve their Building Energy Rating (BER). These generous grants are available when credited installers are used. Full details can be found www.sei.ie. To help you find out more about what improvements are covered under the scheme we have put together some information on the different areas covered and a list of credited installers and BER assessment professionals that will assess your home before and after the improvements are made.
Adobe Flash Player not installed or older than 9.0.115!
With BER assessment mandatory now for all homes that are bought and sold, having a higher rating will increase the value of your home as well as reducing the amount you spend on energy. |
