With proper insulation you save a lot of the valuable, expensive energy that is used to heat your home, so it’s never been more important to think about insulating your loft if you haven’t already. Using less energy reduces carbon dioxide emissions (CO2): one of the biggest causes of climate change. You will also save money on your bills too.
Roof insulation - Why is it a good idea to do it now?
The Irish government has recognized the importance of well insulated homes and has made grants available to help people pay for insulation and energy saving in the home. The scheme called the Home Energy Saving Scheme is available to all homes built before 2006. A grant of €250 is available for roof insulation.
